I WON AN AWARD!!!!....

Hello people!

I won an award!  An award is a way of showing people how well they've done in a particular area of their lives or jobs. A way to show them that they are appreciated. I have won some awards in the past.  Nothing big and all that.  They were back in primary and secondary school. Some were for the best behaved student or best handwriting, or even best in a particular subject. 

Last Saturday, the hospital where I work decided to hold the end of year and awards party. The event was to take place between 9 am to 12 noon and I was working. In the midst of seeing some of my patients, I was told that my attention was urgently required at the event. "Whatever for?" I thought to myself. After I got finished with that patient, I went to the place. (It was in the hospital premises). As I walked in,  I was told by a colleague that I had been  given an award.  He said "just go to the corner in front and pick it up. They have already called your name." Have I ever mentioned that I have a terrible Stage fright? Well I do. I was busy trying to persuade him to walk with me to the corner, when I heard my name been called.  I now had to walk to the stage.

I was so engrossed in my persuasion that I didn't hear what l was been awarded for. Anyway, I braved it up and walked to the stage, and collected my certificate and gift. The award was for "the best dressed doctor." Finally, my fashionista moves paid off. I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise to me, since I live and breathe style.  Still I am happy about it. I wasn't always this way you know, I used to be a proper "tom-boy". My friends can testify to that. Lol.  The gift was an iron and everyone said, it was so I could continue ironing my clothes and keep looking great. Funny, isn't it?

Bottom line, I'm happy about everything.
