HAPPY MAY DAY!

May 1st, often called May Day, just might have more holidays than any other day of the year. It's a celebration of Spring. It's a day of political protests. It's a neopagan festival, a saint's feast day, and a day for organized labor. In many countries like Nigeria, it is a national holiday and it is the organised labour workers that are celebrated hence the name "worker's day". It is a day during the weekdays kept aside for the workers for stay at home and spent time with family and friends, a time away from the hustle and bustle of work. In Nigeria when the may day holiday like every other holiday falls on a weekend, it is usually observed on the following weekday.

So, today I am free from any official work but I'm not staying home. I might go visit some friends, hangout, whatever. I haven't made up my mind yet but I definitely am not staying home. So friends out there, have your breakfast and begin to enjoy this day. Happy new month to you tooooo.......

Cheers
